  1. Oh boy. If he plays in the playoffs this team is already sunk at that point so

  2. I don’t love this answer, but it also seems like a bit of an unfair question. What’s he going to say? “Yeah, it sucks that he’s old and washed”?

  3. Why ask Keefe these kinds of questions? First off, he’s not going to flat out he like “oh yea Simmonds has been ass this year, he will never wear a leaf jersey again” but second off, the playoffs are a wild beast and you never know what’s going to happen, if (and it’s a big if) the team goes on a run, injures could happen which could technically mean Simmonds could make the lineup, like it’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility, the head coach trying to keep morale high going into a stressful series isn’t going to throw a beloved player in the locker room under the bus like that

  4. I’m generally a Keefe fan, but if I see Simmonds in the playoffs I am going to be pissed.

  5. maybe because the dude has been washed for years and is a net negative to the team when he plays? maybe because people want to make sure this team is being built to win?

  6. Who the fuck asked this question? My fucking god, sports media is a cancer.
