The quote in there of Silver saying “that would require proof of intending to lose games – but teams are smart enough to avoid that” is actually crazy. Silver was basically saying we have no means of proving anything and then Kidd just comes out and says “yeah we lost on purpose.”
Repeat offender under Adam Silver tenure, it would definitely be more than Cuban’s $600K fine before. Let’s just hope it won’t involve picks, if it does we’re fucked lol.

That is not tanking. That is just correct management of the situation. And that is what Kidd “could be” referencing in his statement. THAT decision. The only way there is punishment is if it is proven the word tank or phrase “to help us get a better pick” was used. Cuban was once fined $600k but it was because he actually talked openly about tanking and used that language.
Silver may have to make example of Mavs on this one. Kidd basically admitted it. I think he may take a draft pick away. Has to show strength on this one – especially since folks are betting on games. Dangerous precedent to just let this pass. Kidd is stupid btw.

Y’all can hate him all you want but he didn’t want to throw the game. Luka and Kai have both said they’re going to play as long as there’s a chance. This is on Cuban and Nico.
