Rogers vs the righty. About damn time
When does Baez get moved down the lineup if he keeps at his current pace?
Javy in the 3 hole? *sigh*
I feel like all they’re doing is playing the matchup rather than the hot hand. Maton shouldn’t be batting leadoff right now and Javy certainly shouldn’t be batting third. Rogers starting against a righty is nice though.
Rogers has a .513 career OPS against RHP. 0 for 4 this year with two strikeouts. Careful what you wish for.
The Jake Rogers people like is the one with the career 1.000 OPS against LHP.
His minor-league stats show similar platoon splits
I think people are forgetting we’ve played 7 games. I was watching MLB Network yesterday and Bob Costas made a great point when talking about Joey Gallo’s great start to the season… if he has this kind of week in July nobody notices. Baseball is a streaky game and requires large sample sizes for any analysis. Baez could go off this week, and Tork could suck.
If only Baez hit even somewhat like he used to.
