I’m going to be honest: if the nba gives the mavericks more than a slap on the wrist, it will be pretty outrageous given the rampant season long tanking some teams aim for

Personally I don’t see the problem here with the Mavs admitting tanking for a few games, they clearly spent a vast majority of the season competing and it didn’t work, now they pivoted. At least they were honest. Head office just do or say whatever they think is the popular option and what will make them the most money

Jason Kidd’s press conference was really amateurish. The nba will feel compelled to over correct now because the betting overlords funding the league are going to be pissed at teams for doing something they always did. This has nothing to do with whether Dallas or Cuban did right and everything to do with NBA not wanting to have any stink of predetermined results while partnering with betting companies.
Luka and Vooch seemed to be having a nice conversation at the end of the game. 🙂

Everyone knows it happens, but the Mavs were too obvious about it – which damages the product.

I really REALLY hope that this is enough to get Jason Kidd permanently blackballed from the league. Even if he was a decent coach, which he never has been, dude is a complete scumbag and doesn’t deserve to be anywhere near this game.

I wish people would stop calling what the mavs did tanking. If i purposely lose one fucking game its not tanking….its giving up. Tanking is a fucking process. I swear we just dumb down the meaning of words as the years go along.
