  1. With the unfavorable calls and a very tough road trip to start the season ending today the fact they are in position to go 6-4 on the trip is great.

  2. I’m really impressed with the teams ability to take pitches off the plate this year. I hope they keep it up and don’t let bad umpiring influence their approach.

Also I’m still salty that the umpire fucked Belt of all people in that one AB, if there’s one guy who the pitchers don’t need help against right now it’s him.

  3. And if Berrios gets that 3 – 2 call on Trout it’s a completely different ball game. (Yeah it was a ball, but not any more so than some of the “strikes” on the Jays)

  4. Cant wait for these fat head idiots to essentially be removed from the game of baseball. First sport of the big 5 with no official involvement. Hopefully starting next year.

  5. And some of those are not even close. Anyone ready for the automated strike zone yet?

  6. I stopped watching the game because of this. Advertisers during Jays broadcasts should be aware that fans aren’t going to stay tuned in to watch us get fucked by the umps. Maybe *they* can make enough noise to have this corrected in the future. I will be tuning out of any future games where this lopsided umping is happening. I have better things to do with the weather getting nicer.

  7. Wait till the playoffs, if they make it. 9 called out of the zone/inning in the post season ffs.

  8. even without the pitch tracker for most of the game you could see some of those pitches to the right side of the plate were off by inches

  9. I know we tend to get screwed by the umping (and we as a fanbase certainly *feel* like we get screwed by the umping), but I would temper this just a little bit by pointing out that almost all of the Home Field Advantage in baseball comes in the form of beneficial ball/strike calls, and we’ve played 0 home games so far- so the *expectation* for this point should be anchored at us having the worst ball/strike calls so far.

Of course, this all goes away if we then don’t get the same bump in pitch calling this week when the games move to Toronto.

  10. I refuse to watch MLB until they fix this.

The game is pointless if its more about umps input than skill
