any chance we keep all 2023 1st and 2nd round picks AND get Rodgers?

I love McShay’s new Mock for the Jets. Any chance we can have Rodgers for a 2024 1st + 2023 4th? Am I dreaming?

  1. Packers want 2023 picks. At least one of 42 or 43 are more than likely to head the other way. After that who knows.

  2. Maybe if the trade happens after the draft- if it’s before, the Packers really wouldn’t want to leave without one of the Jets’ seconds.

  3. Yes, the longer the jets wait, the worse it gets for GB.

But since both sides know this, the trade is gonna happen before the draft so both teams can move forward with their plans.

  4. I’ve noticed that all the Packers fans who thought they were getting pick 13 a few weeks ago now seem to think they’re getting both our 2nd rounders. I don’t think that happens but I do think they will get one of them.

  5. Absolutely possible. 2023 draft comp is way more valuable to the Jets than the Packers if they land Rodgers. Keeping all 2023 draft comp would be extremely valuable to the Jets for their Super Bowl run, while the Packers are just rebuilding and can afford to wait for 2024 and 25 draft comp. Future draft comp is the thing that makes the most sense to both teams

  6. The only way I could see that happening is guaranteed first in 24 or 25 which I don’t think we want to do. Id be shocked if one of 42 or 43 isn’t traded to the packers.

  7. I am almost convinced a swap of 13 and 15 (roughly 4th round value) is involved in whatever they’re planning. I think they have multiple scenarios planned out that each team is willing to accept but they won’t know which ones they’re doing until the draft begins

  8. Idk but if a pick swap of firsts and 43 would get it done I would do that. Or 42 if they’re that insistent on it

  9. The Packers need to pick players to develop around their new QB now. I can’t imagine them accepting a deal without one of the seconds.

  10. Rather not trade 2024 first unless it’s performance conditional just in case this all goes wrong
