4. Last comment made is misleading. 'He didn't play' 'It's kinda like a DNP'. Does anyone remember that going into training camp of '21 that it was Trey's job to lose? Then midway through training camp, Kyle was like, 'Oh, we'll have some special packages for Trey' and then…nothing. He sat 2021 because Jimmy was FAR BETTER.
   The fact that He played almost NO snaps in 2021 is significant. They intended him to play.

8. Lance was always a project, he has everything you want but he just needed to be developed and developed as a QB NOT a RB and needed time. They should have traded Jimmy and started Lance his rookie year. If Lance was on the Eagles maybe he'd be where Hurts is right now but as more of a passer than a runner.

10. I think the biggest mistake the 49ers made was benching Trey at the end of his rookie season when he came in for Jimmy at the end of the season when he had an injured shoulder and thumb. They literally moved heaven and earth to acquire Lance knowing it would be the end of Jimmys time in SF. yet when it came down to it they were too scared to let Trey play in the playoffs over a yet again injured Jimmy G just so they could beat a Cowboys team that essentially beat themselves and the packers which was an awful game that was won soley by the SF defense and special teams, and then lose to their division rival afterwards. If they had just shown the same kind of aggressiveness it took to go get Lance that year we might would be talking about super bowl champion 49ers with their promising young QB. They also would have moved on from Jimmy before the 2023 season with full confidence in Trey and him having full confidence in himself. More than likely a freak accident like what happened to Lance this year wouldnt have happened if KS was ready to let him play QB not RB and the 49ers wouldnt be caught with their pants down not knowing what to do at the most important position in football. Even if they still didnt win the SB they would have had more time to let Trey get reps like they keep talking about and would have avoided so much more wasted time starting Jimmy G who they already had decided was not good enough. The 49ers come off so weak and scared to actually put their cards on the table and let Lance and I believe they would both be fired if Kyles daddy wasnt a HOF NFL head coach

13. The problem with Lance is lack of college experience. Its why Purdy looks so damn good. They shouldnt have drafted someone for a ready now team with such little experience. Its almost at the point where they have ruined this kids career. They dont have the time nor the inclination to develop him properly. If you have any love for this kid youd want him on an up and coming team where he can learn the ropes and roll with the punches. To me the Titans would be perfect for him. It doesnt seem like the Niners are ever gonna invest in him the way they should or play him the way they should.

14. As a strong Purdy supporter, I’d still start Lance. They have to know what he can do on the field for an extended period. Even if the Niners falter early they’re still good enough to get in the playoffs as a wildcard. To heck with trading him.

    Its pathetic that I can be some random schlub on the internet and even I know better than professional scouts that there was ZERO chance of Lance becoming anything other than another JaMarcus Russell.

23. The problem is he is a running QB that doesn't know how to get hit. I saw him in that Bears game. Every time he ran he was getting BLASTED. I looked to my buddy and I said, this guy isn't going to last. He lasted 16 more snaps after that game.
