  1. I like the old logo but this looks like shit on the Jersey. Honestly it’s like they designed the patch without looking at the Jersey and then put it in the most awkward spot possible. Hopefully this isn’t a season long situation

  2. The last time we did this was for the 75th season. That was 2008. So does this mean we’re going 17-0? Let me get my koolaid jug.

    The lions didn’t commemorate the 80th season or the 70th season. But they did do their 50th in 1983, the 60th in 93, and the 75th in the year that shall not be named.

    Fun fact; the lions in 1983 were just the 2nd NFL team to have ever worn a team anniversary patch. The only team before them was the 1982 Steelers who celebrated 50 seasons just the year prior.

    (These anniversaries do not include the few years where the lions played as the Portsmouth Spartans btw).
