  1. Francona admitted he didn’t challenge it. So, we need to know.

    *How was that allowed?*

  2. I was giving up this game due to Schmidt pitching. He was still the usual self, but the bullpen didn’t implode.

  3. So is our fully healthy outfield going to officially be Judge Bader & Franchy? Cuz I’ve seen enough Franchy is HIM.

Infield consisting of Rizzo, Gleyber, Volpe & DJ.

Use Cabrera as our #1 go to depth piece anywhere

Keep Stanton at DH and maybe sometimes RF depth

Is that the best team we can make for October? Assuming everyone’s healthy

  4. On the postgame interview Hicks just said he caught the ball on that controversial play but then said he felt like he should have caught that ball, all in the same soundbite

  5. I can’t handle another 3 IP Clarke start. Sevy can’t come back any sooner. Jesus christ.

  6. Great grind it out win with key guys out of the lineup and Schmidt on the mound. God I hope this team is healthy soon

  7. If the Rays hadn’t started 11-0, people would be talking about the Yankees as the clear best team in the AL.

  8. John sterling needs to retire fr. Calling Oswaldo Cabrera, Orlando Cabrera and misrepresenting out smh !
I always have to change the radio feeds bc he’s unbearable

  9. So Gleyber with a tight hip flexor + on the bench for 9 innings since pre-game warm up was faster than Giancarlo lmao

    Tough for Big G

  10. A win is a win, but man that was not a “convincing” win at all. Also, it’s clear Holmes isn’t who he was the first half of 2022. They need a dominant and reliable closer if they plan on getting anywhere in October.

  11. Broke: Babe Ruth is the greatest former Red Sox Yankee

Woke: Franchy Cordero is the greatest former Red Sox Yankee

  12. Controversial here but Schmidt could’ve really blown up after that first inning debacle and to keep us in it for his 4 innings was commendable.

  13. Stoked with a series win. All but one of the concerns I had with this game won’t be an issue when this team is at full strength.

Hicks won’t be in CF and Bader makes all those plays.

Schmidt isn’t long for this rotation. He’ll be replaced.

Holmes giving me a heart attack will for sure happen again, though.

  14. I personally enjoy seeing Volpe leadoff, even though he’s struggling. Just feel like its totally mental and if he can just “get used to the pace” i think he has serious star potential. He just passes the eye test.

  15. I think its weird that the Rays start their season playing a bunch of last place teams. Bizarre schedule.

  16. I had to listen to this game at work silently and not scream and punch things. What a game and I cannot believe that ump bullshit. I can’t wait to hear some answers about what happened. This win felt so good

  17. I was behind and just finished watching this game now. It’s only 2:20pm where I am but I need a drink so bad to calm my nerves after that 9th inning jam.

  18. who tf is keeping track of all these tiny increments of time??

8 seconds for the batter to look at the pitcher
7 more seconds for the pitcher to start their windup

5 seconds after a call to.. raise your hand?
15 seconds after that to pat your princess leia hair

  19. Happ got a 3 year extension with the Cubs.

There goes my main trade deadline target.

  20. Ahh yes, just as predicted, winning games on the bats of Higashioka, Franchy, and Oswaldo Cabrera!

  21. For those on edge about volpe struggles Francisco alverez is also struggling and he been the number 1 prospect in baseball for awhile
