The man threw an absolute gem.
Came out and shoved for 8 solid innings. Just what the doctor ordered.
>strikes out 11 over 8 innings in his third start >allows first 3 runs of the season and raises ERA just above 1

Split them tigers
He looked really good out there. Both homers weren’t completely cheap but probably are caught in some stadiums too.
Everyone knows about his awful BABIP luck last year but he also had amazingly good HR/FB luck for most of the season too (it was the best in the league for months and regressed a bit towards the end), but he has allowed a few too many homers throughout his career so that’ll probably continue this year, though if he can keep guys off the bases like he did today, a few homers won’t hurt too badly.
Cy young season
An absolutely criminal no-decision.

Not quite a DeGrom level no decision tragedy, but it’s up there
