New Lions TE coach explains why James Mitchell’s 2nd year from ACL tear is so important

Him, Brock Wright, and Darnell Washington would be a perfect TE group if Mitchell hits his potential as a weapon. I don’t think that Washington will be available in the draft at the spots where drafting a TE would make any sense though. Hope Mitchell can show what he can do this year
I have high hopes for him! I think he can be really really good. Just gotta stay on that grind
I envision myself watching several big plays from Mitchell this season and saying – Hockenson would have dropped that, or – that blade of grass would have tripped Hock, or – TJ would have immediately been tackled by the 40yd line.
hock was so overrated. I’m glad we managed to get something out of him. At a time when your whole offense was shitty he did shine, though.
