  1. Weaver’s been getting quite a bit of hate, but this was his first proper year in the lineup. Furthermore, he shares edge behind Denico Autry, Harold Landry, and Arden Key, so he’s a damn good depth piece at least.

    My biggest concern is his trial for the barfight in Pittsburgh two years ago. Of course, here’s hoping justice comes before football, but with that in mind, I’m not sure what he’ll be able to contribute.

I think he’s just a decent depth guy, there were too many instances last year where although he won the initial rush, tackles could just push him wide because he’s way too stiff to be able to bend the corner and maintain his balance. I’ve always liked his run defense at least though since he’s pretty stout with his long arms, but I think where he’s at now is about who he’ll be as a player
