  1. the sky is falling. we need to trade zobrist and DFA longoria. and re-hire larry rothschild.

the silver lining is that yonny looked way better than i expected

  2. Say what you want about the ump, walking two runs in and whiffing an easy double play won’t win you the game.

At the end of the day we’re 13-1, we still have a home run in every game, and can still take the series, let’s go rays!

  3. Hell of a run, wish it could have ended on a game that didn’t have a Poche/defense meltdown. And that ump was fucking garbage. Oh well, this team is still real, hopefully people stay level-headed about this

  4. All good things come to an end. Win streak was a blast.

We’ll have to hold off on celebrating until October.

  5. I don’t know how much more evidence Cash needs that Poche doesn’t have it. Like how many clutch situation meltdowns does he need to have. Even the big K on Devers in game 1 of the Boston series was a jam he put himself into with awful walks.

  6. Dude what a ride. No disappointment here. So proud of these guys and they have a place in history. Go Rays. New streak starts tomorrow

  7. This squad still let us witness history and it was a great run. Moving on, let’s start a new streak tomorrow.

  8. Don’t worry guys, since our wins against bad teams don’t count, our losses against good teams don’t either

  9. will never understand why Cash makes the pitching changes.

In no way, rhyme, or reason does Snyder go with Poche there.

  10. Without poche we go into the bottom of the 9th up 3-2. Low leverage innings only from here on out please!

  11. It was good while it lasted boys!! Fun ass start to the season.

I hate that KK is with the Jays.

Poche brings down the bullpen, he needs to go. But that whole inning could have gone differently. Before drew is pulled in the 5th, Franco gets kinda unlucky with a bad hip. Then even with those walks, if Lowe doesn’t miff that double play, jays only are at 4.

  12. Let’s make another long winning streak!

And I’m sure Toronto will brag about this win, despite losing to the Tigers yesterday, at home.

  13. Poche can go to the backyard at the farm, I don’t care. Chirinos comes first and we could have a way closer ballgame, losing sucks but let’s win this series folks. I fucking hate they jays.

  14. That was more about us throwing the game away than the Blue Jays actually winning it.

  15. It’s not about losing, it’s the way we lost. We beat ourselves! We were due I guess, let’s take this series. Cause that’s what we need to focus on continuing to do

  16. Didn’t get shut out, so that’s a positive. Also we got 8 hits, just need to convert them better.

That ump was truly terrible, but our fielding was not great tonight.

  17. Poche is anti-clutch. He needs to be kept as far away from high leverage as possible. I don’t know why we didn’t use Fairbanks or Adam instead, since both of them had yesterday off

  18. Poche. Is not. A high leverage. Reliever.

That’s really I can say. It’s frustrating to see, but hey, it took all that only to lose by 3 runs. Just focus on winning series now!

  19. First place in the division by 4 games only 2 weeks in! Whoohoo! Now just keep doing what Rays do. Win. Except for Poche, he can just…go.

  20. Well the ride was fun, hats off to the blue jays for ending the streak but we will bounce back tomorrow and now focus on the main goal of a WS

  21. Sloppy play and Poche cost us the game. Putting in Poche when we could’ve put in Yonny was questionable. Maybe Cash didn’t want to throw him into a bases loaded situation for his 2023 debut but shit, Poche was not the answer.

Anyways, we’re 13-1 and that should be celebrated. We were going to lose eventually, and this won’t be the last time.

  22. Simple minded perspective – pitcher role descriptions are a moving target, but we have two legit shutdown guys, Adams and Fairbanks. I’d have loved to have the one of them come in for the tough spot, then Chirinos to eat innings, and the other to finish. And Poche to carry the spit bucket. But still 13-1, first place, cheers!
