Bitter sweet ending to the year. Some ups and downs and ended 1 point short. Going to miss the team in the off-season see you all in 5 months

Won’t lie, hurts to miss the playoffs by a point but every guy on this team will be thinking about that in the off-season and it should light a fire for next year. Had a ton of fun, enjoyed watching the season with all of you!

I’m glad we won this one purely so the boys can look at the standings all summer and see they were 2 points away from a playoff spot. One fucking game. Hopefully that throws some gasoline on the fire for next year.
Missing the playoffs by 1 point is both simultaneously amazing because of how much progress this team has made and so incredibly sad when you think back to a handful of WTF games they could have won.
This is the best season of Sabres hockey I have watched in over 10 years. I can’t wait until October.
Fun season, y’all. Enjoy the last stress-free playoff watching for a while and see everyone in the GDTs next year.
And thats a wrap, so glad I came back this year to them (even though I was regretting it at some of the lower points of the season)

One game. That’s all it was. What an improvement over the last decade and then some. No chance we miss next year
The over under on our points total at the beginning of the season was something like 76 or 77. We hit 91. While I’m cheesed a bullshit kicking goal for NYI is what stood between us and the playoffs**, I will absolutely take that kind of outperformance. I only wish it had bet on them like I thought about doing.
**in truth, we played poorly that game and didn’t deserve to win. Stupid mistakes like tuch’s late game penalty cost us the Caps game. And we also dropped games against Pitt and Fla that we should have won down the stretch. Not to mention stinkers against teams like Philly (twice!), Columbus, etc. those things buried us. But the terrible refereeing sure didn’t help us any.
Great season, sucks to be so close, but I never thought we’d be this close to begin!
I already miss Sabres hockey.
Excited for next season, this season was so much fun and I hope missing the playoffs by a point, as Between 2 Stalls host Jeff Skinner said, “adds fuel to the fire” for next season.
Can’t think of the last time I’ve been so excited for the next year to start and sad to see the current season end
