  1. 39 from Patches…so close.

Caufield will score 40 for sure (I have zero doubts he would have done it this year) and I believe will get 50 once or twice in his career. That 100 point player though does not currently exist in our system. Hopefully that changes this summer.

  2. We’re literally the worst or second worst in all these categories lol. Drafting and development has been a real issue in this organization for too long.

  3. This is so depressing. Thank god we had Carey Price to distract us from this misery.

  4. Oh so that’s what we’re doing today, we’re hurting my feelings

    okay okay alright

  5. Players usually take 4-5 full season in the nhl to explode. Next season will be Suzuki’s 5th season, with a healthy Caufield, I’m pretty sure he can easily hit 82 pts.

We just need a second line.

  6. Scouting and development has been an enormous problem since the Serge Savard team was cleaned out in Ron Corey’s power grab. There’s no way to know for sure why, but I would guess that it was lack of investment in more and better scouting, hiring practices that prioritized friends (the “old boys” club), and total lack of focus on professional development of prospects (which we know since they only hired their first skills coaches recently).

Let’s hope that modernizing the Habs’ scouting and development is a high priority for Hughes and Gorton.

  7. This is the exact reason I’m so far on team tank. We NEED that superstar player, I’m 22 years old and Pacioretty is the best offensive player I can remember watching.

Caufield will change that but still…
