  9. Don’t mess around with this guy. He HAS to play. Can’t be riding the bench and getting inconsistent playing time like Alvarez.

    Word after camp was he could hit AAA arms real well, but couldn’t hit major league pitching yet. Welp, maybe there’s only one way to learn…so even if he starts real cold, I’m willing to give him time.

    Side note: I am all for Baty winning ROY and the FO will have egg on their faces for not having him on the opening roster and thus costing themselves extra draft picks. Nice little rule change to stop the “keeping prospects down for service time” BS.

  38. Seeing an insane number of people suggest DFAing Vogelbach for Baty.

    It’s Locastro, the move is so obvious. You shouldn’t be wasting a bench spot on a guy who’s only skill is speed when the new rules have made stealing easier across the board.
