    In other good news, Mariners are on a hot streak and start a series against the Brewers tonight and Cardinals this weekend. Hoping for some good luck there.

    Anyone else think this is the game where we see a Hughes debut?..

  5. Oakland is really not good. Their offense is weak, their starting pitching very average. That being said the Cubs cannot overlook this series. Hopefully Wesneski has a bounce back game like Smyly has had the last two outing and Taillon did the other day.

  6. Almost no better team for Wes to get the ball rolling on… come out and dominate and gain some confidence…

  8. These west coast games can get fucked. I gotta get up for work 5 hours after the game starts.

  9. Playing all these different teams is cool because now I’ll be able to have an opinion on them without having to tune into A’s vs Royals and shit

The underlying pitch metrics for Wesneski are fairly solid actually, I think last start he was really in his head and the walks piled up along with the barrage of hits, if he can just get out there and have a clean first inning, he is going to steam roll this A’s team. Or give up 5 before the 3rd inning, no in between really.
