  1. A 12 point win with 19 turnovers and Embiid and Harden being 3rd and 5th in points. I am starting to believe.

  2. tobias all locked up crew-Bridgers/Cam

    Soon to be locked-Tatum/butler/booker

  3. The fade, the drive and slam, the volleyball spike, the kick out passes.

Embiid was doing everything to close this out. All night long giving shooters their looks. Absolutely unstoppable when they try him 1 on 1.

I hated this game but I drink Embiid haters tears as he closed this one out.

  4. “not much production from the possible mvp”

    my friend… 19 rebs, 7 ast, 20 points, +14

  5. Tobias has really stepped up so far, I didn’t see this one coming. It’s like he’s found his perfect role on this team the minute the Playoffs started.

  6. Turns out a team being down 5 at the half isn’t the insane deficit the announcers and halftime crew at TNT tried to make it out to be

  7. Got to give credit to Doc for 2nd half adjustments and calling that quick timeout after first couple possessions. Woke these dudes up

  8. This feels a bit like that Miami series in 2018. Very physical and increasingly chippy. I know we shit on Ben now but I’ll always remember him staring off with laser focus while James Johnson tried to get in his ear

  9. This might break the nets. This was their game. They had everything going for them in the first half. They couldn’t miss, refs were swallowing whistles, they had Joel and harden cooked, but they just couldn’t keep it up. The lack of a real star like embiid or harden did them in.

  10. Rather have this stinker of a game in the first round rather than in the later rounds

Harden will get his groove back

  11. Good news: Harden looked like absolute shit and we won by double digits.

Bad news: Harden really looked like absolute shit.

  12. We survived a James Harden disasterclass and all NBA refball. This was the Nets best punch.

But if we get this kind of Harden in a game against the Celtics we’re gonna lose. Embiid gonna have to go for 50 on 80%TS again to win those games.

  13. Harden 0 fts in 2 games despite drive to the basket all the time. The refs are trying hard.

  14. Honestly? The only embarrassing thing about this game was the game thread.

Some of you reeeeeally need perspective.

  15. 20/19/7/3/1 but the idiot reporter said little production from the MVP 😆 Too many casuals cover this sport.

  16. Harden has a tendency to get in his head when he gets shafted by the refs and play even worse. Not excusing him though, he played like dogshit

  17. look at what happened when embiid wasn’t double and triple teamed. completely free buckets lmao

  18. The way Embiid and Maxey are playing this series is a very encouraging sign. Both understand their roles perfectly. Harris, PJ, and Reed stepping up as well is a bonus.

  19. What is the science behind Harden being so great in the regular season and turning into useless blob in the playoffs? He has so much hype behind him but can’t string two games together

  20. Awful first half. Way better response after halftime. To still get this one with harden being abysmal is big. Maxey was awesome tonight. Embiid was a monster on the glass. Bball Paul once again a spark plug. Tobias through 2 games has given them what they needed.

Harden probably can’t be worse but I’m not sure id count on him being close to what he was in game 1. Just has to be better with the turnovers and recognizing he just can’t finish at the rim anymore.

  21. Great point by the announcers that playing a trapping, scrambling defense is going to tire the Nets out. Cam Johnson looked gassed.

  22. Joel is going to put Claxton through a hoop next game for that dirty shove in the back and I can’t wait to see it happen lol

  23. Tell me you all saw Tyrese hug the Colonial Nissan guy right after Coach Calipari

  24. Embiid put up a jokic statline and everyone is calling him a fraud. Just goes to show how he is lightyears better than that overrated fraud in denver

  25. What’s great is that if Harden is off we have Maxey. If Maxey is off we have Melton. If Melton is off we have Niang. If the world is ending and we need a savior we have Bball.

  26. Tobi’s post ups actually felt useful as a different look – albeit a minor one – when they’re overcommitting to Embiids side of the court.

  27. We like to think that the basketball gods are against us, but surely getting Tyrese Maxey at 21, which ended up bailing us out so fucking much was a compensation for the Colangelo-nightmare and the disastrous 2019 offseason.
