isles win game 2 and either game 3 or 4 just to head back to carolina tied at game 5 as they tend to do… id really like it if they advanced just one round at least
Im in the middle. Not over yet
Would have felt amazing to steal last nights game, and we certainly had the opportunity with 0-4 on the pp.
I do worry about how many penalties we took and how we didn’t convert any of our PP chances.
But it was the first game with Barzal back, on the road, and we lost 2-1 playing far from our best game. So there is reason for cautious optimism.
I do worry a lot about this team going down 0-2 and just not being able to recover so tomorrow is a huge game.
Really I just want a good fight. Get this to go 6 or 7, ideally win, but at the very least show that we belong in the playoffs and that we will be back next year too.
Nothing is over, cautious optimism is the the way.
I’m just along for the ride now. Before the season they were giving us about a 1 in 3 chance of making the post-season, so I’d say overall we did pretty good with expectations. Anything else is bonus, although I will admit I am less than thrilled about the idea of Lambert keeping his job, our success is not because of him.
