Rui in Washington was a net negative player who had pretty much lost his spot in the rotation to Kuz and their other young forward. In his 4th year from the outside he looked like another lottery pick that didn’t work out.
I’m happy for him that he’s found a new home and is excelling in his role here.
C stands for Crazy*
3 second round picks is a fair trade
Kevin Pelton graded that, and for some reason blocked me on Twitter. It wasn’t related to the Rui trade, but it was probably calling him out for some other bullshit logic he spews. ESPN really bad with the analysts (Tim Bontemps, BARF) although Zach Lowe is the only saving grace.
I don’t know I still feel like 3 second round picks is a lot, but Rui is proving my dumbass wrong
In a shorter period of time with the team, but Rui with a much higher impact. I’d take a C+ as a grade since the upside has been huge.
Just from game one of this series alone, this trade was an A+, no doubt.
The fact that our wings were only Bron and Troy Brown and our 3rd-9th best players were all guards and this one trade fixed that made it a well above average trade
and if you polled this sub going into the playoffs i guarantee the majority would be dissappointed in rui so far regardless of the compensation given up.
we didnt give up much so it’s good, but since he’s got here he is overall giving us 10 ppg on 49/30/72 with mediocre defense. i remember how estatic people were when this trade happened, talking about him as some surging electric 3&d wing.
Traded an empty bag of chips for a hot Cheetos we won A+
LMAO whoever graded this should career transition from sports journalism into comedy
