That EUZ is fucking atrocious, like it’s nice that he was consistent with calling them out there, but HOLY SHIT what is that zone?
We don’t want a pitch clock. We don’t want designated pinch runners. We don’t need the game to be “more exciting”. All we want is for the umps to not be dogshit and the ability to challenge the calls.
Pretty fucking impactful missed calls there seeing as Burger should have been down 0-2 instead of 2-0 and hitting a homer that was the only runs of the game. Not like it changes us scoring 0 runs, but still.
Robo umps asap. These guys suck and we keep seeing them consistently sucking. Theres like 4 decent umpires the rest are ass
Another at-bat that stuck with me from last night was Jake Cave’s final one. People in the game thread were jumping on him for swinging and missing the inside strike three, but I thought he did the best he could considering the circumstance.
Dude has a great eye at the plate and sits on the first two pitches that were balls clearly outside of the zone, but the ump rings him up 0-2. Cave then goes on to work a full count from there.
He could have melted down earlier in the at-bat or gone off on the ump, but he contained himself well and at least put up a fight. I see him having a good outing today.
Only in baseball can a 93% success rate be considered a questionable game.
