  1. This actually happened to me in Dallas / Fort Worth Airport…

At the counter – checking in for a flight back to MSP. Guy in cowboy hat overhears – he comes up to me – “Cuse me – I heard y’all are going to Minneapolis – Do you know Billy Bob? ”

    Um no – don’t know him…

“Well he moved up there a couple a years ago now – I thought in a small town like Minnyinapolis y’all would all know each other.”

Um… Minneapolis is over a million people… so nope odds that i know your buddy are slim to none.

    “Well hell – i don’t think y’all live there then…”

    whatever.

  2. Okay I havebeen to their arena, nicer? I would like to meet his meth dealer because obviously the quality of said meth is top shelf.

  3. 1. I have been to both arenas, AAC is a trash basketball venue that is trying to host hockey. Food was garbage, beer was garbage, aesthetics garbage, fanbase garbage. Also, its named after the worst of the major us airlines. Id rather fly Spirit than American.

    2. The only reason the Texas GDP is that high is because of government/defense contracts. The Texas economy is a giant welfare racket.

    3. The state of Texas takes more from the federal government than it collectively pays in federal taxes. Minnesota is one of 11 states that supports welfare states like Texas by generating more federal tax revenue than it takes in.

    4. Shit state cant even keep the lights on in a mild snow storm.

    5. Texas isnt just a poverty franchise, its an poverty state that joined the US because it was so far in debt.

  4. As a Wild fan IN Texas I will like to comment that the only thing keeping me from moving to Minnesota is two things 1) the cold and 2) the fact that Texas has a better cost of living ((for now))

Because YES we *may* have more in the bank for teaching but most of the schools around me are still shit and have gotten worse in the ten years I’ve been out of high school, a nicer arena is still just a building and I’ve seen nice buildings outside of Texas and in all honesty i don’t wanna turn to politics so I’ll just say Keep Austin Weird is working because we ha e a ton of Weirdos in the capital

So yea.. two things over Minnesota… real awesome flex. /s

  5. Texans, of all people, seriously calling the third-most educated state in the union as “hillbillies.”

    Comedic.

  6. Do to think they know how important Twin Cities is to the America’s international business interests?

  7. Lol doesn’t matter what the capacity of your arena is if you can’t fill it and the ice is shit

Eta I’ve been to AAC (and 11 other barns to date) and it was less than impressive. And we got yelled at for standing for the opening puck drop.

  8. My lord, hope to god they don’t have a significant other who has to wake up to that every day.

  9. I love when fans are so unimaginative that they resort to petty facts like how their arena has more (empty) seats

  10. I was in Texas for work one time and honestly, their food was pretty bland compared to Minnesota. Could’ve been luck with the restaurants I was sent to by the locals but it wasn’t spicy and didn’t have cheese. I think people seriously underestimate the ethnic foods we have here due to the immigration waves since the 90’s.

  11. “Most people forget that Minnesota exists as a state because nothing there matters to anyone in the us.” A) that literally doesn’t make sense. B) Than why even keep Minnesota as a state? Let us join Canada if that’s the case, I’ll take the universal health care & legal marijuana!

  12. I’ve seen Minnesota high school rinks nicer than that trash bin in Dallas.

  13. Let’s see….where do we start here?

    – We were on the side that won the Civil War

    – They wouldn’t be in the NHL if it weren’t for Norm Green getting himself in a pinch

    – It’s the Dallas Stars, not the Texas Stars

    – Women still have control over their bodies here

    – Our power grid is reliable

    – Our libraries have books

    Edit: I forgot one

    – The local newscasts don’t need to remind us to not shoot our guns into the air at New Year’s

  14. As a British person who has lived in Kansas for over 20 years, can I come be a Canadian reject hillbilly? I need an actual home, Kansas is not it.
