Yes, theoretically he can go to his agent to have the team rework his contract where he would want to be traded there, but I don’t see it happening. He loves it here, and he loves the fans here as well.
No, he thrives off the fans. Attendance may rise for the A’s in Vegas but they won’t be true fans with the heart that Philly fans have.

Bryce has been outspoken that he wanted the A’s to stay in Oakland and for Vegas to get its own expansion team, like the Golden Knights (a team he really loves.) I don’t imagine he’s going to be terribly pleased about this.
That said, I think Philly has Bryce for the rest of his 13 year contract. He loves it here and he loves the fans. But I could easily imagine that the 39 year old Bryce Harper, his contract completed, is not re-signed by the Phillies due to his age, and, despite all of the Philly fans begging him to just retire as a Phillie at 39, he chooses to continue his career and play into his 40s (like he has said that he wants to do) for the struggling Vegas A’s who just want star power to increase attendance.
