    From the moment I turned 18 all I ever wanted was to take my dad to a World Series game in Oakland before he dies as a thank you for getting me into the sport as a kid. Fuck all of this shit

  6. It’s a damn shame. The Fremont ballpark was the move years ago, Oakland or San Jose were never, ever going to happen with Fisher as the owner. Lacob would’ve made it happen in Oakland.

  7. I would have rather seen Vegas receive an expansion team, keep the A’s in Oakland.

    Their fans are the real deal and I feel bad the league is treating them like this.

  17. This sucks! I hate seeing fans lose their teams. Oakland losing the raiders, Warriors, and now the A’s. That just sucks

  19. Just once I’d like to see Fisher just be honest and say they never wanted to stay. It’s so clear to everyone that they did all they could to stall all development and make it appear that Vegas was the only option they had left.

  30. What outsiders need to realize is that Fisher wanted not just a stadium but the largest private development in CA history. City Council came really close to giving him what he wanted but as you can see, Fisher is a shitty human being and clearly not negotiating in good faith.

  34. This sucks. As an outside observer, I imagine it’s an extra gut punch that your baseball team is headed to the same city that got your football team. And the mayor of Oakland said he felt that the city was strung along just to drive up the Vegas bid. A’s fans don’t deserve this.

  37. First the Warriors, then the Raiders, now the A’s. We all saw it coming, but still a fucking travesty what’s going on in Oakland.

    The shitter of it is this is almost guaranteed going to be a lose-lose scenario. Vegas grew appeal as a sports town with the Golden Knights, but that’s Vegas’ team. They were given a franchise to name and grow as their own and hockey in Vegas became way bigger than anyone thought it would be. So the Raiders popped in, got this bombass stadium, and the city kinda hates them. I’m afraid the A’s are going to fall in that shadow.

    Maybe I’m wrong, maybe baseball catches on out there and the franchise has new life breathed into it. But the way the ownership has treated the most die hard fanbase in baseball for years just to give them the middle finger and get rewarded for it is absolutely gross. This could’ve been done so much better.
