Just to be clear: This is just a scenario I came across and am floating for a fanbase-conversation. I don’t support this atm.

If purdy’s elbow looks bad sure. I’d hate to repeat the Tom Brady mistake again. Rodgers still has some good play left in him
Why would Rodgers want to come here after all this time? He felt slighted in 2005 and having come up short against us in the Playoffs since probably hasn’t sat well either.
The only reason I could see him come here would be if he was convinced he could come full circle, win a ring, end the 49ers Quest for 6 and feel like he proved his draft day promise.
I think it’s just something the Packers have put out there to try and force the Jets’ hand. Could be wrong, but I don’t see Rodgers going to the Niners.
Ok, only if Brock is actually out for the season (which it doesn’t sound like, but I’m not an expert). Trey is gone and Rodgers restructures his contract for one season we would probably pay a good chunk up front to not go against the salary cap. Maybe…not matter what anyone says if he was on our team we would be saying we’re winning the Super Bowl. Although I’m also wondering what we would need to give up, or is this a straight up sign?
