  1. Steve Berman and Marc Carig said the same things in The Athletic. Safe to say many Bay Area writers (the ones who truly care) are rightfully letting out some real emotion now.

  2. W O R M

That man doesn’t deserve anything that he has. ‘Born at home’ thinking he won the World Series, embodies the worst aspects of Capitalism. Too afraid to face the music from the fans that kept him rich as he shit on the fanbase time after time.

If there is a hall, John will be there. No empathy, only greed.

  3. John Fisher is looking for a handout. He knows that the revenue sharing dollars from MLB will end so he’s operating with that clock ticking. I also believe that MLB wants a team in LV. Expansion would take too long (thus giving the A’s a pass on relocation fees). Simply put, MLB wants to beat the NBA there as too many sports franchises would over saturate a problematic market.

Funding, especially when a public component is involved, is not done until it’s done. I’m not an optimist by nature (and I would say the same thing if this were HT ) but I’ll believe it when the shovels are in the ground. Yes, today’s news is very, very bad but until the funding is locked in . . .
