Working on my 4th NFL logo using my late grandpa’s scrollsaw.

Full disclosure I’m a Bills fan.

I’m making this for my cousin who is a big Browns fan and lives in CLE. This is only my 6th project on the scrollsaw and my first ever inlay. I’m using Walnut for the brown. Maple will be for the Orange (I will dye it orange) and Aspen for the white.

My question for you all is I know the fan base loves Brownie the elf, what’s your thoughts on this dog logo? How well known is/was it and do you guys think this is a bad ass logo on would a Browns fan rather just have the helmet logo? I’m 5 hours in and don’t want to waste another 15 if Browns fans don’t even care for this logo lol.

Thank you all for your time!

  1. As a fan of the Browns and woodworking, I approve. I’ve always liked this logo personally.

  2. First off, I think your grandpa would be proud that you’re using his tools and knowledge to create beautiful artwork and make people happy.

The logo looks really good so far, I hope you post photos once complete! I personally love this logo version and wish it was the official one instead of that underwhelming “puppy” logo the Browns were using officially. I think I read somewhere this one you’re making had its origins in the Strength and Conditioning program, but not sure on that.

Regardless, the orange helmet is always solid for a Browns fan, but I think this one is more interesting visually, and as a gift and probably a much better challenge. Well done!

  3. This is outstanding work. Very well done. I would be proud to have that logo on my wall.
