Serious question. Given his starting spot, draft position, and salary- is there a worse player in the NBA? Bad cheap players are expected to be bad. Overpaid players on bad contracts don’t play and take up minutes, just money. Draft busts might never get either of those. DeAndre is the perfect storm of all 3 of these.
It was funny when the national tv broadcasters were calling hunter an elite perimeter defender, bro can’t guard tatum or brown to save his life
Y’all really overdoing it with the Hunter hate and exposing y’all selves as casuals.
If you’d actually watch the games you’d see the effort he’s putting in to make Tatum and whoever else he’s guarding really work for their baskets. Plus he’s getting hit with illegal screens almost every other play. Sure he occasionally gets driven past, but on average he’s doing his job on defense. Offense will come, he’s taking good shots.
There’s a reason why Quin is playing him so much and why he had a +10 last game. He is having a strong impact on the game, whether you believe it or not.
Honestly I thought his effort was good last game. His shot was just not falling. I get the guy is not playing well enough but no reason to attack every aspect of him/

I remember that one time someone posted a meme of him as a cop with Luka in a jail cell and I think that was when Hunter peaked in my life
