How the West Coast Swing feels despite the Ws

  1. Okay but Baty is starting to settle in right now it looks like, a well-timed single today and he’s up to hitting .238. He’s doing what he’s done in every other level where he takes a few weeks to adjust (I’d kinda wish he was in the lineup daily to make sure he does well), and then begins to rake. The only real concern is his groundball rate feels high? But it’ll sort out when he sees Major League pitching for longer.

  2. give em time. Baty is gonna be good. Alvarez may be more raw but it’s not like Nido is any better anyway.

  3. Alvarez has had problems with controlling his swing, and in triple A needed like 2-3 weeks to get used to the new level of pitching. Baty though looks like he did last year, seeing and hitting the ball very well, just straight to defenders. he will come around soon
