[Ian Rapoport] After a dormant couple weeks, the #Jets and #Packers recently re-engaged on trade talks surrounding star QB Aaron Rodgers, sources say. A deal is not imminent, but the two sides are at least talking — with hopes a deal can (finally) be done this week.

  1. I don’t buy for a second that the teams weren’t talking over the last few weeks. The implications are just too important to be not talking.

edit: I guess there are good reasons to not talk i.e. the Draft

  2. Guess it comes down to whether or not the Packers want some draft capital to use in a couple of days or not.

  3. So the Packers blinked first, they want draft picks for this year, which was obvious to everybody except GB fans.

  4. I know Rap and Schefter haven’t been the most reliable covering this trade but I’m inclined to believe this

  5. My favorite part about the Rodgers saga is the no insider had been correct (yet). There are some people who have favorable opinions to Jet fans (Wingo saying it was 99% done 2 months ago) but here we are, weeks and weeks later, with no tangible movement.

  6. What are the chances JD gets this done with the 43rd pick this year and a conditional 4th rd pick in 2024?!

  7. These moron Packers fans are annoying af. Their subreddit is straight up hilarious. Panic doesn’t even do it justice….yet we are the ones in trouble.
