  1. Does anyone have the hit on McCabe that isn’t slowed down? Hard to tell how much force there was

  2. Lol, I understand the point that you are trying to make, and believe me, the inconsistency of the refs is bewildering to say the least, but the league will answer you like this, “Colton was completely blindsided by Cliffords hit. McCabe turned his back towards Maroon just before contact.” To me, BOTH hits cause the same kinds of injuries/damages, and BOTH should be penalized.

  3. If McCabe had rolled around like his night was over the way Colton did (who I believe missed no time to injury) there is a chance Parros slaps Maroon with a fine (because we know he wouldnt suspend a player for hitting a Leaf player)

  4. And the Leafs have ANOTHER player that is being looked at by DoPS while Tampa has nothing.

But the league is biased for the leafs everyone!

  5. Maroon hit was dirty AF. Not only from behind but it was interference. Should be a suspension

  6. Everytime Colton gets hit even just a bit, he acts like a firecracker blew up his ass

  7. Yea the fake “DoPS” is “run” by 2 fuckin losers that hate the Leafs. Noones surprised.

  8. How about don’t show one in real time and one in slow motion if you’re making a comparison. Makes the McCabe hit look way softer.

  9. The NHL knows if maroon is suspended the lightning have no chance. A reminder this league is closer to WWE then a professional sports league

  10. The Clifford one does look more violent, but the maroon one is undoubtedly a penalty at minimum, playoffs or not.

  11. Correct me if i’m wrong, but it does kinda look like there’s a windup on the Clifford hit. But I still agree Maroon should have gotten a penalty.

  12. So I guess the NHL is saying this was a legal, clean hit. Cool. Open season on dirty hits. /s it disgusts me that this, and Stamkos’ tantrum, are off scot free.

  13. Difference is Colton is a bitch and grabbed his face and flopped like the best soccer player in the world. And McCabe didn’t. Playing the refs like a fiddle. If the team had actual fans, they would be proud.

  14. These are not comparable at all

Clifford capital C Charges from near the goal line all of the way into the neutral zone at an unsuspecting player that does not move at all prior to being smashed from behind.

Where as McCabe turns right before contact, the only reason the hit on McCabe was from behind was because he turned instead of taking the hit shoulder on shoulder like Maroon likely intended.

In what world does any hockey player turn their back to open ice and the puck as the play is coming at them? It doesn’t happen at this level unless its intentional. If McCabe spins the other direction like 99.99% of players usually do so the puck and the open ice stay in front of them then its shoulder into chest clean body check.

saying all of this, it should have been an easy interference penalty at minimum since he’s preventing him from making a play on the puck, but trying to compare this to Clifford is just wrong they are completely different incidents.

  15. After the gong show to end game 2 and this hit, Maroon should be getting a suspension. Eapecially, since the refs just straight up refused to call the penalty on the ice.

  16. I get what you are doing, but the Maroon hit isn’t suspendable because Clifford’s was suspendable. It’s suspendable, period. Making the comparison just makes it seem like we are bitter about the Clifford suspension and want Maroon to also be suspended for something not-that-dirty. Maroon’s hit was interference and boarding. The only reason it’s not being looked at is because McCabe wasn’t injured, and THAT’s the part that’s bullshit

  17. Even more crazy is Cooper whining about Reilly’s “reckless” hit on Point and yet nothing is done to Maroon for that hit on McCabe. Guess it’s because McCabe just got up and back into the play unlike that pussy Point who went down and sliding across the ice clutching his chest like a soccer player in the Premiership. But thank god the Tampa medical team was able to perform immediate heart surgery and got him back on the ice in just a few minutes!! The rhetoric and bullshit coming from Tampa players and staff not to mention their inbred fans makes me sick.

  18. Not to mention all the picks Colton was trying to lay on Matthews in game 2 but didn’t get called for them. Only when the leafs do it

  19. As punishment the league should force the lightning to double Maroon’s ice time.

  20. The only reason that piece of shit, George Parros, is still employed as DoPS is because Bettman is scared that he would file a lawsuit against the league after Orr caved his stupid face in and subsequently ended his career.

Any sympathy that I’ve had for him has quickly evaporated over the years after all of the egregiously bias rulings he has handed out against us.

He is a fucking scumbag who is embarrassingly bad at his job and still harbours bitter feelings towards us after all of these years.

  21. Clifford’s was still worse. Had time to stop charging and reconsider. Travels a longer distance to make the hit.

  22. Honestly I hope game four opens up with a free for all brawl and never really stops.

There is no better series to be watching right now.
