11. Feeling a bounce back nail biter 2-1 win and then we demoralize them back in Jersey 4-1 to win in 5.

13. Rangers gotta come out fast and hit this kid with a ton of shots. Even with the goal last game, he wasn’t put in a position to make too many tough saves.

14. Need to ambush the Devils right out of the gate, take an early lead and get the crowd in it from the outset. The crowd at MSG had better bring the noise and energy tonight. That Game 3 crowd was flat for a playoff game. Every time the Rangers look like they need a jolt of energy, I want to hear a loud and unified “LET’S GO RANGERS” chant sustained until the Rangers make something happen.

15. The way i looked at it after the Rangers went up 2-0; they had to win 2 of the next 5 to advance. They are more than capable of doing so. A big win tonight would be killer to the Devils.

21. Stay disciplined tonight. If we get ahead, expect the death rattle from NJD trying to get chippy and dirty. Don’t take stupid penalties and continue that great defense.

    Have to be very careful with the exit from our zone. Those passes need to be deliberate. Most of their scoring comes from a shitty pass into the neutral zone that’s intercepted.

    I’m stoked for tonight. It’s our opportunity to command this series.

24. Gotta stop with the you miss 100% of the passes you don’t attempt attitude and just pepper the rookie goalie with a ton of shots. I’m confident our vets will get that message across.

25. Not that it’s the reason they lost Game 3, but thank GD the game is on MSG tonight. ESPN (ABC) really drowns out the crowd and the announcers just want to make you cringe. I’m so happy it’s back on MSG tonight. I know **when** the Rangers advance, the next round will be on TNT or most of it anyways but at least we can enjoy the games on MSG

26. Really need to take an early lead tonight. Our defense has been great so far this series. If we can pot 2 early in I’ll feel confident in their ability to hold it down.

27. Heard Gallant saying we got too cute with the shots, tried to make too much happen instead of sticking to basics. Totally agree with him (first time for everything). If the Rangers go back to formula and basics and just throw it at the net more often than looking for the best pass or even when entering the zone, STOP passing it backwards, they will put more pressure on NJ and we will come out on top.

28. We find out what this team is made of tonight.
    I’m not going to say this is a must win game but going back to Newark tied 2-2 would be a disaster after the start we had in the series. Win tonight and it puts doubt into their heads again, make them think that game 3 was the fluke it was.

29. We were the better team in game 3. We had control throughout and created more chances. It took us going 0-5 on the PP for them to even have a chance. They’ve scored 1 5v5 goal in the entire series and they needed overtime to do it. If we keep playing our game we will win the series.

    Honestly the only part that should worry us is that they may have gotten a confidence boost after their win. Which may make them play a little looser and faster. But I fully believe this team and the staff have figured out how to beat the Devils.

30. Shoot the puck. Pepper the goalie. Get 40-50 shots on net tonight and we’ll win. Stop with the East/west passing bullshit. North and South that’s it. Chip and chase. Stop being so f’in cute with the puck.
    Good news at least the forwards are coming back helping out the d men with a good back checking effort.

32. Def resorted to some cuteness when they adjusted their game and gave us less time and space. Gotta regroup and get back to the intensity, urgency, and simple plays from games 1 & 2. Throw everything at the net. Also not sure why the PP was tweaked. Don’t do that.

    Devils have 4 goals in 3 games. One penalty shot, two PP goals, and one 5v5 in OT. We got this!
