Winning this series 3-1 will make this start feel a lot better going into some rest days and winnable series against the cubs and giants
Soto has reached base in 8 of his last 20 plate appearances. He’s still not really slugging (outside of 1 homerun), but he’s coming around slowly. I do think it has a lot to do with his injury, and hopefully he’s able to progress and get to where we need him to be.
I am mildly concerned about Manny, but his xwOBA in his last 50 plate appearances has shown he’s trending upwards, and is sitting right around league average. His chase% is astronomically high right now, which has impacted everything else, so hopefully a day off yesterday let’s him settle down and be more selective with his swings.
