  1. Glad we got to the bottom of whether or not Tillman tipped the ball in the 2nd quarter.

  2. TJenk on if the challenge was a mistake:

    “Yes.”

TJenk on why he didn’t play Luke:

    “We needed stops.”

    Fair enough, I guess.

  3. this team will never win until they get real shooters. Kennard is a move in the right direction , and he should be great for us next season. But yeah, until we add another legit shooter, we ain’t winning shit in the playoffs.

  4. I think this post-season was always going to look iffy when Stevo went down, we started to put it back together without him and then we lost Clarke. It doesn’t help that the Lakers are a completely different team to what they were pre-deadline but the history books will show a 2 seed upset vs the 7 seed and this context won’t matter anyways.

I still have faith we can take this to 6 at least, I never expected much of a deep run with our lack of frontcourt depth along with the Lakers being a real poor matchup with that considered.

    Bright side:
    * Des 30+
    * We are young as hell
    * Lots of pick equity
    * We have a great front office and coaching staff

Our best two players are just 23 years old with All-NBA and DPOY honours between them, most stars don’t get their first championship until they are in their “prime” around 27, we are ahead of schedule and regardless of the result of this post-season have a lot of good years ahead of us. We saw the same backlash happen to teams like the Bucks, Suns, Sixers and Nuggets, unfortunately we are just easy to hate right now but we could be a lot worse.

  5. This game was the definition of a rollercoaster. If just one of those layups / FTs drops, we win.

Not having BC or Steve is obviously continuing to hurt us immensely, our defensive rebounding efforts were embarrassing at multiple key moments throughout the game.

I want Luke to have more minutes and shot attempts next game. 5/81 of our threes in the last two games have come from the best 3 pt shooter in the league. TJenk needs to get the ball in his hands any way possible.

It’s a 7 game series for a reason, a lot of basketball left. We proved we have the ability to win in LA, just need to close it out.

Our guys play their best when their supreme confidence is fed. Winning game 5 will be huge for our confidence, and game 6 could be interesting.

Call me a hopeless optimist, but I still think we can pull this off.

  6. Ja wont last long playing that way he does on and off the court. we have a bunch of morons on this team. gotta get wings and healthy

  7. Grizzlies shot bad for 3. Lakers made shots. It happens. 3-1 isn’t much these days (Thanks 2015/16), so still on.

Probably would be better if Ja doesn’t try dunking on People but he plays ball and I don’t lol

Grizzlies need to shoot better from 3 and move the ball at bit more. Defensively happy for what the Grizz did from the 5 min mark of the 2nd quarter throughout the rest of the game.

When you shoot 9/42 from including Bane going 3/12, it’s gonna be rough

  8. Brooks has let this series get into his head and it shows, dude was barely giving us anything out there. Sigh 6 seconds away from 2-2 but lebron said no.

Oh wel win game 5 and then we can focus on making it grizz in 7.

  9. I’m sitting in the same spot on my couch I watched the game in..just shocked and dissapointed

I bought tickets to game 5 last week…I hope I didn’t pay to watch our season end.

  10. It’s time to move away from Taylor Jenkins, his play calling and adjustments in the most important situations always always always fails. The man doesn’t even try to communicate to the players. A simple “DB we need you to shoot less” for example, or telling Ja to not run head first on fucking lebron or to stop challenging AD at the rim, or TO GIVE THE BALL TO OUR BEST SHOOTERS. He has no offensive game plan and I’ve been saying this all year. I’m over him and the stupidity he brings in clutch situations.

  11. If you look at our shooting statistics we are below average for every single one including rim%, it’s so hard to win games when we can’t put the ball in the basket with any consistency

  12. Losing playoff games always hurts, but trying to look at the positives here.

Ja, JJJ, and Bane are all under 25 years old. Future is bright for the team, winning a championship or even contending for one isn’t going to be easy in the NBA but we’ve got a good young core.

Also I don’t think anyone will ever downplay how important Steven Adams is after this stretch without him. Looks like a whole different team out there without his rebounding and screens.

  13. Refball is hard to beat, and we are missing Stevo and BC bad. We need more shooters, though. I think moving on from Dillon and acquiring a true 3-and-D guy (an OG or Bridges type) is key to unlocking the rotation. Some bench vets would be great too for extra vet presence.

  14. You gotta cut the dead weight this offseason (Dillon) and try to sign and trade him with picks and a player like LaRavia or Z to get a actual 3 and D wing with size.

  15. Yes, the average age of Bane, Morant, and JJJ is 23 years old. Next year, KD will be 36, Curry will be 38, LeBron will be 39, and it’s unclear if Leonard and PG13 will still be on the Clippers. Most teams with a core age similar to yours are generally in the lower half of the league… but even so, never say “let’s wait for next year” or “we have plenty of time” because every year is the best chance to compete for a championship. If you miss the opportunity, you will only achieve the greatness of others.

  16. Really hoping for a 7 game series. Also LeBron is really just proving why he’s the best, and that has been cool to watch as much as I hate it as a Grizz fan.

  17. Well, at the end of the day boys don’t let your day be overwhelmed with negative emotion. None of us had any control of the game so try not to let the frustration set in too much. Does a lot of good to be able to disengage after a tough loss and keep your mental up.

  18. Hopefully mentally they can get past this one and get home ready to go. Best home record in the league this season and yes they lost game 1, but honestly the team looked deflated after Ja went out in that one. No excuses left there’s lots of variables and things that can happen but every game has to be a W.

They can win game 5, I bet they’re favored. However many games are left all we want to see is them not poop the bed in the first quarter/half. Before the last 4-5 minutes of the first quarter that was depressing.

Lots of fight left in this team. Time to win at home and move forward from there.

  19. Anyone else feel like turning the ball back over at the start of overtime was key? Did so well to win it then just lost it for the easy bucket. OT so often feels like it’s won or lost in the first min
