  1. Thank you D.A. for calling out the “apathetic/nobody cares about the A’s” takes.

The East Bay has money, loyalty, and no competition.

His comparison to the Sac Kings is spot on. The Kings were on the cusp of moving a few years ago and now with a new arena and a few years of rostering talent has absolutely invigorated the local fan base (the likes of which I haven’t seen in 20 years).

  2. He said in the clip that the A’s were a Top 5 most profitable team in 2022. I’m curious where he found the information. I searched the web and couldn’t find anything.

  3. Love this, going to start following.

Wish more around the league could understand this. Optics matter.

  4. Great take: the guy could be the Steve Cohen of the Bay Area. Steve Cohen will never pay for a beer again in Queens.

That’s a legacy that a real fan would kill to have. Not “I only have $2B in my pocket: if I don’t make this additional $500M I am a nobody”. Look at the late 1800s and early 1900s industrialists: do we remember those that screwed over someone yet again to make an extra $10M back in those days, or do we remember those who founded universities and famous museums?

Legacy is not making more money; Fisher is incredibly short-sighted.
