Olson is tied with Rizzo as the best 1B by fWAR. Still the Ks are concerning
Luckily the rest of Olson’s numbers look pretty good, but the strikeouts are getting worrisome, especially with how many missed opportunities we’ve had with Acuña on base. He’s on pace for 267 Ks. I doubt it will be that many by seasons end, but over 200 is very much a real possibility. Hopefully he’ll get on a hot streak soon and he’ll cut down on his K rate.
Sorry folks, this is my fault. I finally got a red Olson jersey this season.
Damn lol. For everything else though he’s on pace for basically his 2021 numbers, which I think we would all take. He seems to have a trend of dropping about 20 points in even years and getting back up to .270/.900 in odd years, and we are in an odd year…so…there’s also that.
