  1. im considering giving the 9 beers 9 dogs 9 innings challenge a shot real soon

no other place on earth i’d rather collapse <3

  2. Not that lineup order matters much, but it is interesting to see Gorman hitting 3rd with a lefty scheduled to pitch most of the game. Either they really want to hit him against Brebbia in the 1st inning or they suddenly began trusting him more against lefties.

  3. Fun Fact: David Villar is the full name taken by Kevin Millar’s goatee when it became sentient and left his face for its own shot at the big leagues.

  4. **Tonight your fate shall be with the smited and forgotten, Fulboam. Tonight you will yearn to taste what was once yours, but never again. Tonight, Fulboam.**

    ***Tonight.***

  5. We’re winning tonight, book it.

I realized I haven’t been properly “gearing up” for the games, so Cards attire it is henceforth. I also haven’t been stroking my fetishes (don’t @ me!) either, so my bobbleheads gonna get a workout. lol

  6. We all would like to think we exist uniquely, and we even tell others that we do cool things, that we’re always evolving ourselves into better versions of who we once were. And that somehow makes us matter? But we don’t matter. We are all liars. We’re all just in one big wading pool of shit. We’re all together. We’re all alone. We’re all dying.

    Go Cardinals.

  7. Downvote this comment so the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team wins tonight against the San Francisco Giants.

  8. Have any of our players made a bat out of tree struck by lightning lately? These are the keys to a winning team

  9. Edmundo Sosa really got traded to the Phillies and immediately started BABIPing .400 despite changing literally nothing about his approach or underlying talent. Would have been nice if he could have done that while he was here.

Asked @SlangsOnSports how many games the Cardinals played with their team ERA at 4.48 (or higher) over the last 14 years. The answer is remarkable:

    2009 2

    ’10 1

    ’11 3

    ’12 0

    ’13 1

    ’14 1

    ’15 0

    ’16 3

    ’17 7

    ’18 5

    ’19 11

    ’20 0

    ’21 18

    2023: 21 of 23 games.
