  1. Samuel and Gibson can go.

Curl deserves it. I’d focus on his first. Then Fuller and let the cards fall on sweat and young.

Sweat has been consistent. Not great not bad. I’m sure he will fetch top 5 money.

Young IMO needs to prove this year to even consider a deal or the franchise tag

Benefit of Sam being a fifth rounder is if our talent is worth keeping then we can pay them.

  2. If Chase Young shows *anything* this season and we’re not looking like a legit playoff team, we need to trade Montez Sweat by the deadline. Should easily get us a first round pick. Bradley Chubb fetched one. We can’t pay the whole DL and Sweat is good but not a blue chip talent. Save that cap space and move on

  3. honestly think you let the last 3 guys go, gibson is a talented but replacable running back, samuel is samuel and fuller isnt getting any younger, gotta keep atleast 2 of curl sweat and young and i wonder who ends up being kept

  4. I would try to sign Kam Curl ASAP. Other than Jessie Bates, no safety got big money this offseason. CJ Gardner-Johnson was phenomenal and is the same age Curl will be when he hits FA and only got $8M. I’d use that as a starting point and try to lock him in like 3/$30M. If he wants much more than that, I’m not paying up for a safety who doesn’t cause turnovers or sack the QB.

  5. Can anyone explain to me why we wouldn’t pick up a 5th year option on Chase? I’m genuinely curious… maybe it’s his health that we don’t know about …? Or they are already planning on paying Sweat a bunch and letting Young walk? I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and input on this.

  6. Aggressively pursue re-signing Curl and let the rest work itself out. I’m not saying let everyone else go, but I wouldn’t break my back to keep anyone else on that list. I think Sweat can still hit another gear, at which point I’d at least tag him.

  7. this is why I would’ve exercised Chase’s option. If Chase and Sweat both have good years you might lose one now. Could’ve at least had the option for chase leaving you franchise tag left for sweat allowing you to worry only about Kurl extension first. Everyone else here is probably not coming back

  8. You can look at this list and make a pretty good inference on what positions will get drafted this weekend

  9. I’m excited to see what Curtis does under Beinemy this season. I’d consider extending him and reducing his cap hit this season (it’s top 5 for WR). He’ll only be 26 this season.

  10. Keep 1 of Young and Sweat. Get Curl signed. Keep 1 of Gibson and Samuel, if possible, but not the end of the world if they both walk.

I think for Fuller it depends on the draft. They take a guy like Joey Porter at 16 Fuller is presumably on his way out. He’s not great to me but he’s serviceable, so if they go with other positions of need between now and then and the money works out then I’m fine with keeping him around too.

  11. Gibson’s gone fs. Sweat and Curl need to be retained. On the fence about Fuller and Sweat

  12. The big ones are Young, Sweat, and Curl. The others are important, but not irreplaceable
