Not sure Fire is the right metaphor for the firefighters we’ve got. Bad relievers are arsonists
Brogdon deserves to be in this graphic.
This was supposed to be the first season in at least 5 years that the bullpen would be a strength coming into it, so good to see them getting locked in and trending in that direction.
Our bullpen has also produced our best starters.
Damn Soto is yoked, could play for the Birds if needed
Where’s the love for Ortiz? He has been a huge addition for us. I’m not sure it will last but we knew going in these AAA relievers were going to need to play a big role throughout the season
I think everyone was still getting used to the game clock, especially because even though there’s spring training, in game speed is probably still different from the regular season
Until tonight
Just because of the start of the season people forgot that on paper we probably have the best set of top end relievers.
How many teams have 4 closer level guys? Brogdon has been okay recently too and strahm will enter the pen. You’re left with a couple dudes you can throw into games that are likely Ls or to eat innings. But in games where we are looking to close it out we’re unmatched
