I’m a huge fan of this draft.
A lot of boom or bust for sure, but I love the focus on athleticism. I mean that’s been one of our main complaints for years is how slow and unathletic our team is.
Now we get burners every where. I think we now have speedy DBs that can keep up with the upper echelon of WR. And technique issues can be cleaned up with good coaching and a willing player, but you can’t teach the athletic abilities these players have.so good draft for that.
We drafted players to cover our asses when the starters we currently have don’t resign.
Our WR picks are great…that’s likely due to the fact they were taken in later rounds. They picked some high upside guys and I’d rather burn a pick on a guy that has first round talent than see Bill make another NKeal sized mistake, since he can’t fucking develop a WR for the life of him. At least if Booty and Demario don’t work out, it was only a 6th round pick.
I don’t expect all the guys to work out or even make the team, but shit if I’m not excited by this draft.
Really hoping Booty hits his ceiling.

Why did Demario Douglas last until round6?
Just comes from a small school/low level competition?
Can anyone clarify for me whether or not Jamie Collins is currently under contract with the Pats?
I never saw any news of him being signed, and upon searching I can’t find any news of it either. No one anywhere seems to have reported he’s signed, except the official Patriots website lists him on the roster. And not under the free agents section or anything, just that he’s signed. It’s been like this for months and I initially assumed it was a carryover from last season that they just forgot to remove, but the roster has been updated so many times since then during FA and the draft and Collins is still sitting there, and appears to be the only “mistake”. Still probably just an oversight, but I want to make sure I didn’t somehow manage to miss the info lol.
