Just for some perspective, the last two times a team broke the record for wins in a season were in 1995 and 1976 before that. Breaking that record, obviously, does NOT happen often. So, odds are, for the next 20-30 years, any time a team starts looking like they could potentially break that record, you’re gonna hear about the big bad Boston Bruins team that broke the record and the plucky underdog Florida Panthers team that broke their hearts.
This Panthers team is literally historic.
