1. If true, I hope for a safe recovery for Yan.

2. Better to play it safe with Yan, especially when it comes to head injuries.

   Hate the circumstance that will potentially allow this to happen, but what a moment for a guy that has suffered so many setbacks.

3. Wow, I know it likely isn’t long term but what a great reward for a hot start for a guy we’ve been hearing about for years at this point.

4. I thought the Cubs had another former major league catcher at triple A. Not Torrens, but the other guy.

5. I’ve been an Amaya believer for years, despite his injuries. I remain convinced that if he can just stay healthy, he’ll be a big contributor.

   This is a neat opportunity for him after destroying AA for the last month. It’s probably super short term for now, shit he might not even play if Gomes isn’t concussed, but good for him.

6. As someone who thinks Brennen Davis is a bust I believe Miguel Amaya will be our starting catcher next year.
