Something I’ve been working on for a year and a half. Initially wanted to have it done for the 75th anniversary at All Star Weekend, but got humbled quickly when I realized the scope of what I was trying to accomplish.

Very small nitpick – there seems to be very little reason or rhyme as to the placement of the players
Imho an artwork should tell a story. One way to do this would be with the placement of the players in the artwork, to give a broad overview of what happened in the NBA throughout the decades
Something like
Upper: the 80’s and earlier, Lakers-Celtics rivalry
Middle: the 90’s, Jordan’s Bulls fending off challengers
Middle-lower: the 00’s, the last era of great big men
Lower left and lower right: the 10’s and beyond, trend of forming superteams and the proliferation of 3 point shooting
Why is Harden in an OKC jersey? Kawhi in Raptors? Weird choices there
