  1. Imagine having Verlander and Scherzer on your pitching staff and getting swept in a series 🤔

  2. Okay, that was the end of our tough stretch. Can we beat bad teams, which we have a few coming up? This was an area we struggled in, in 2021 iirc, we would play up to or down to our competition.

Props to Scott Harris, already put together a better team than Avila in one offseason and some bargain bin pick ups.

  3. Where’s that guy who said he was abandoning the Tigers this season to become a Mets fan? LMFAO, dude get in here and own up!

Edit: I found him but will not tag – also the dude who posted the insane “Unwatchable?” thread where he predicted the Tigers would be done by May. It’s okay to have hope in your team! I’m a total homer and its way more fun to be obnoxiously optimistic than a doomer. Join me, I promise you’ll love it!

  4. 13-17 against an incredibly difficult schedule, I’ll take it. Let’s see how we do against some lesser competition.

  5. Owners will point to this mets team for years to come to defend their lack of spending.

  6. Not even 4 pm and the game is already over.

The new rule changes sure have thrown the traditional TV game timeframes out the window so far.

  7. If the White Sox beat the Twins the Tigers will only be 3 GB of first

  8. When the team beat the Astros I was honestly shocked but also like “Okay, but Verlander is gone. Maybe he was just carrying the team and the Mets will be a mess”. And then Verlander plays and they still win!

  9. Valenti is saying right now we should trade E-Rod. Do y’all think he’ll opt out of his contract? Would suck to see him leave, he’s been borderline elite in his last 5 starts.

  10. Wasn’t in the GDT thread today because I was out for a lunch walk listening to the game. What an absolute gem of a series. Love JV but glad we tuned him up for a couple long balls. ERod is playing like the player we gave that big contract to last year. Love it!

  11. The Tigers are 11-3 against teams outside the AL East and we don’t play another one of those teams until July. Just sayin.

  12. Verlander gives up 2 runs and loses the game. He must feel right at home.

  13. E-Rod’s been looking great. Happy to see him bouncing back after the challenges he faced last year and to start the season.
