  12. It’s concerning that I’m actually surprised he got any sort of disciplinary from DOPS. Was fully prepared to hear nothing from DOPS, which is indicative how bad of a job they have done and are doing.

    Leafs are my playoff team but aren’t we forgetting they have Simmonds. Dress him next game and let him go nuts. Replace Knies with simmer if he’s injured for game 3 and 4. Gotta get the team going some how.

    And this is a philly fan who loved Simmer and I know he can bring the energy and the ability to kick the shit out of everyone on that Florida team.

  33. What an absolute joke. How do you suspend Bunting for THREE GAMES for an elbow to the head, but a completely intentional cross check to the head is a fine. They should be ashamed

    Charging with head contact on Kampf

    Clothesline to headslam on Knies(resulting in injury)

    Cross check to the head followed with one to the back of Bunting

    Brutal high stick cutting open Oreilly’s face

  36. Here is my honest take on both this and the Knies play.

    The Knies play should have been a 2min roughing call on Bennett. Anything more than that is a stretch when you look at it objectively. Calling nothing is also a joke though.

    The cross check on Bunting should have been called a major on the play and possibly a 1 game suspension, although the major + missing the rest of game 2 feels like enough for me to say no suspension.

    So imo, what should have been a total of 1 minor penalty, 1 major + ejection ended up being 1 minor penalty + a license to do more…

    Worst part for the Leafs is that now that this is making news, any retaliation what so ever will result in the book being thrown at them, since they would be making the refs look stupid (which they are)
