  1. If he makes the roster we owe our thanks to David Sills. What a wild world.

Also cool that despite sills being in and off the roster he still loves us. A testament to the culture.

  2. he likely thinks he has a better chance of making the team here than in other places. its the real reason why UDFAs turn down other offers. or the giants offered him quite a bit more money which also means they think he has a better chance of making the team.

  3. A lot of new coaching staffs say that whole “ the best players will play, period” line when they take over but somehow the old expensive veterans always end up “giving the team the best chance to win”. Dabes and Schoen really kept KG’s ass nailed to the bench for two UDFA, lol

  4. I love the “your role is going to be whatever you make it” line from Daboll, I feel a lot of coaches would try and sell some specific plan to the guy, but Daboll is just straight up saying that it’s down to him and how hard he is willing to work for it, I think it is such a great culture we are building here and little snippets like that show it at work

  5. That’s a fuckin sales pitch and a half, I almost got hyped sitting in bed

  6. I think that was one of the real non-obvious benefits of Daboll not playing Golladay last year. It shows guys from around the league that how you got there doesn’t matter it’s how you perform once you’re on the team. A lot of coaches preach it, but it’s not always the case.

  7. Coaches who are straight shooters and dish out playing time based on merit are well respected by the their own players and prospective players….. who would’ve thunk!?
