Raymond is so good at hockey
Went on a bit of an ECHL rabbit hole, turns out there’s currently 2 franchises in Georgia with plans to add a 3rd.
Atlanta Gladiators which is an established franchise from 2003 (that actually began 1995 in Alabama!)
Savannah Ghost Pirates who just played their inaugural season this year. They have a nice logo and while last in their division actually finished 21/28. (Affiliated with Vegas for what that’s worth)
And in 2024 a team is set to be expanded into Athens Georgia.
I find it interesting overall fact and it sort of shows that Atlanta/Georgia must have at least a passing interest in hockey. Not that I expect a expansion of that sort.
