  2. 7 is loaded with so many excited kids on the way to the game. I really like weekend afternoon games for this reason.

    Lots of ice cream helmets today for sure—with sprinkles.

  3. * The 2023 Mets are 17-17 in the regular season. The Mets have scored 144 runs and allowed 147 runs. The Mets have played in 9,682 regular season games with 4,669 wins, 5,005 losses and eight ties. The Mets were 101-61 in 2022. The Mets are 140-133 on Sundays since 2012, 2-2 this season.

    * The Mets are 117-104 against the Colorado Rockies, 5-3 last year. The Mets are 566-530 at Citi Field.

    * The Mets have scored four runs in their last 40 innings. They have lost 10 of their last 13 games.

    * Jeff McNeil will bat third today, the fifth time he has done so in 2023. He has batted third in 195 career at-bats. The last time he batted third was May 3rd against Detroit.
