But the warriors are the NBAs golden boys. Like I realize the Lakers are their money maker too but it’s not like golden state is a small market team. Curry led team still has huge market appeal. As far as I can see the NBA wins no matter what team wins this series. If there’s any series they’d want to rig is for the suns to win so Durant can match against LeBron or Curry.
I know that we’re the Lakers, but like… the NBA would be far more incentivized to support the Warriors. They have more fans (whose parents have credit cards) and are worth nearly 1 billion more.
Hell, even Reddit, that the NBA has been actively looking to for support (NBA Reddit is pretty big) shows the Warriors having like 24% more fans.
