  1. Is this terribly wild? 2015 was set up for a deep playoff run until Andy broke his thumb

  2. 👎🏻 I don’t understand why people can’t accept that Andy Dalton was one of the best QBs in our history and had the same stats as Peyton Manning his first 4 years in the league. Andy was good! We were good! We just sucked in the playoffs and got super unlucky a couple of times. Andy’s thumb. Tez stupid fucking penalty. The fumble.

ETA: there were games last season he was a Top 5 QB. I just don’t get it, is it being young or old that causes this amnesia?

  3. well it was a good base but they didn’t want to provide any good support, Andy had the same problem Burrow has had with bad pass protection which led to rushed passes or Andy having to run for a first. We also had a bad run game but the defense was ok sometimes.

  4. If you were a fan at that point it wasn’t wild. 2nd year potential superstars at WR and QB. Solid in all three phases. Just made the playoffs in 2011. They also went the year of this prediction. If you’re a playoff team you’re a few breaks away from the Super Bowl. I’m not sure why the early part of the 2010s is treated like we sucked. They were always in the playoffs. Once we got there is a different story, but still..

  5. We were consistent underachievers in that era. Always had talent and lots of promise in the beginning of the season but fizzled out down the stretch and couldn’t manage even 1 playoff win. That’s basically the reverse of the situation now where we start off slow and get gradually better, and win in the post season. Dalton is a great guy and Bengals football was good during a lot of his time here, but they just could never put it all together

  6. Ten years from now I can totally see us fans saying I can’t believe we never won Super Bowl with Joe Burrow.
